Lucille M. Quinn

Lucille M. (Emmith) Quinn, 89, died Saturday evening, June 28, 2014 following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late John R. Quinn.
Born in Salem on August 20, 1924, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Walsh) Emmith. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Saint John’s High School, Class of 1941.
Mrs. Quinn was employed as a tax examiner for the IRS for thirteen years prior to her retirement. She had also worked at Central Leather in Peabody in the bookkeeping department.
She enjoyed travel, playing slots, and knitting.
She leaves her children, Maureen Russell and her husband Mark of Reading, Kathleen Quinn of Norton, Sharon Hafford and her husband Darin of Virginia, Janet Bell and her husband Bradley of Illinois, and John R. Quinn, Jr. and his wife Helen of Easton, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, John and Jeanne.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 9AM in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers . Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 5-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or Care Dimension, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
