Luigi Peppe, beloved “Papa Luigi,” 98, of Danvers, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was the husband of the late Giuseppina Peppe, who predeceased him in 1984. Born in Fondi, Italy on May 1, 1915, he was raised and educated there and was a POW during WWII. He worked for many years as a fisherman until coming to the United States in 1970. He then worked until his retirement in the jewelry industry in Providence. He is survived by his daughter, Raffaella Carnevale of Malden, his son-in-law Gaetano Pagnani of Medford, his daughter Imperia LoColle and her husband Pietro of Danvers, his son Mario Peppe and his wife Darlene of Danvers, his daughter Luisa Carnevale and her husband Pasquale of Italy, his son Vincenzo Peppe and his wife Annunziata Peppe of Danvers.He also leaves his grandchildren, Letizia Pesce and her husband Sabato of Malden, Antonella Agliata and her husband Salvatore of Townsend, Carmina Rego and her husband John of Medford, Giuseppe Pagnani of Rhode Island, Michael LoColle and his wife Christina of Beverly, Jean Sanidas and her husband Matt of Danvers, Nicole Peppe of Danvers, Louis Peppe and his wife Jennifer of Medford, Giuseppe Carnevale and his wife Rosa of Italy, Luigi Carnevale of Italy, Stefano Carnevale and his wife Melania of Italy, Josephine DelGrosso and her husband Vincenzo of Middleton, Tanya Pulisciano and her husband Bobby of Danvers, Sabrina Spencer and her husband Erik of Danvers, Danny Peppe and his wife Micayla of Danvers. He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his his daughter Maria Pagnani in 2003, and his son-in-law Francesco Carnevale in 1997. His Funeral Liturgy will be Friday, May 31, 2013 at 11AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, Malden. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.
