Marcia B. Duest

Marcia B. (Beck) Duest, 83, passed away on February 10, 2024, in her home. She was the wife of Joseph S. Duest, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage. Born in Beverly on April 18, 1940, she was the daughter of late James G. Beck and Florence (Bell) Beck. Marcia was raised and educated in Beverly and graduated from Beverly High School in 1958. She had worked at the former United Shoe in Beverly. Marcia enjoyed cooking, knitting, bingo and viewing her favorite entertainment on her tablet. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and the Danvers Summer Concert Series. Marcia’s first love was her Patriots football. She is survived by three daughters, Sheryl James of Danvers, Karen Camire-Duest of Dover NH, and Jennifer Hymes of Natick and her husband David, eight grandchildren, Erin Palmer and her husband Brian, Kyle James and his wife Kirsten, Matthew Fallon Polizzotti, Andrew Fallon and his wife Tina, Sarah Fallon-Lopez, Ryan Fallon, Madison and Lauren Hymes, eleven great grandchildren, Estrella, Bryce, Riley, Joe, Isabella, Amelia, Elliana, Elliott, Jaxon, Averie, and Acyen and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving Marcia, sister-in-law Donna Dolliver and her husband John and Janet Duest. She is predeceased by her siblings James Beck, Lorraine Daly, Donald and Wayne Beck. Her funeral services are private.
