Margaret E. “Maggie” Beals, age 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, May 2, 2026, following a period of declining health.

Born in Chelmsford, Essex, England on February 14, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Sheahan) Bowtle. Maggie was raised and educated in England and Ireland before beginning her nursing career at Farnham Hospital in England.

Nearly 60 years ago, she immigrated to the United States, where she built a long and meaningful career in nursing. She worked for many years at Beverly Hospital and also served at Malden Hospital and with several nursing agencies. Maggie had a special love for caring for newborns and found great joy in her work as a labor and delivery nurse.

A longtime resident of Beverly, she had made her home in Danvers for the past 15 years. Maggie was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, where her deep and abiding faith was central to her life.

Above all, Maggie was a loving mother and a proud Nana. She cherished time spent with her family and many dear friends and enjoyed traveling throughout her life.

She is survived by her two daughters, Veronica Eaton of Seabrook, New Hampshire, and Jennifer Eriksen and her boyfriend Nicholas Carrillo of Saugus; her two sisters, Doris and Patricia, both of England; her five grandchildren, Chris, Adam, Lily, Hayden, and Lorenzo; and her two great-grandchildren, Zoe and Raylynn. She was predeceased by her son, Jason Beals, and her son-in-law, Walter Eaton.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited.  Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Massachusetts Citizens for Life, P.O. 1. I am soo sad to hear Margaret has passed, we have some great memories of her and Jennifer when they visited with Dorris. She was a very thoughtful lady, as we shared the same birthday I would be guaranteed to find a card from her in my post box on the morning of my birthday. My deepest condolences! I will pray for you Jennifer and Veronica and family during this very difficult sad time. Margaret may you rest in peace🙏😘😘
