Marguerita "Babs" Jean Reid

TOPSFIELD- Marguerita “Babs” Reid, 95, passed away on April 4, 2015 in Continuing Care at Brooksby Village in Peabody. She is the beloved wife of Alexander L. Reid, with whom she shared 72 years of marriage. Born in Scotland on December 24, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Prentice) Lewis. She was raised and educated in Scotland and came to America in 1961. She had been a resident of Topsfield since 1966. Babs was a Librarian at the Topsfield Public Library for many years. Besides her husband, Alexander, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Celeste Reid of Derry, NH and her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Keith Hart of New Bedford, MA, four grandchildren, Julie DeSousa, Steven Hart, Andrew Reid and Daniel Reid, five great grandchildren, Audrey, Ian, Tyler, Alex and Katelyn. She was predeceased by her siblings, Robert and George Lewis, Buntie Weir and Elsie Kennedy. Her Funeral Services are private.
