November 30, 1936 ~ July 4, 2023
Maria (Ciruolo) Cobuzzi, 86, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. She was the devoted wife of the late Rocco Cobuzzi, who predeceased her in 2017 and with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. Born in Panni, Italy on November 30, 1936, she was the daughter of Antonio and Michelina (Dattoli) Ciruolo.
Maria immigrated to the United States in 1958, and along with her husband and family, owned and operated various local businesses including Rocco’s Pizza, Rocco’s Family Variety, and Premiere Deli & Catering, all in Danvers.
The beloved matriarch of her family, she was adored by her 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Family was always her highest priority, and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Maria had a wonderful and unique sense of humor and a warm smile. Her door was always open and ready to greet all with food to share, whether it was a plate of pasta or a stack of fresh baked pizzelles. She cherished hosting every family and holiday gathering. Maria also loved to spend time gardening, talking on the phone to her siblings and relatives, and pet-sitting.
She leaves three children, Tony Cobuzzi and wife Julie of Boston, Don Cobuzzi and partner Julie Ellis of Danvers, and Lena Winston and husband Matthew of Hamilton; her daughter-in-law, Tricia Cobuzzi of Danvers; seven grandchildren, Nouelle Ingraham and husband T.J., Morgan, Sophia, Michael, and Christina Cobuzzi, and Rebecca and Gabriella Winston; two great-grandchildren, Tommy and Cora Ingraham; her brother Saverio "Sam" Ciruolo of Topsfield, and her sister Angelina Ciruolo of Danvers.
She was predeceased by her beloved son, Francesco "Frank" Cobuzzi, and her siblings Costanza "Connie" Cobuzzi, Michele “Mike” Ciruolo, and Joseph Ciruolo.

Many sweet memories
To the Cobuzzi Family, sending prayers of healing and solace to each of you during this difficult time! K. Nelson (Friend of Tony & Julie)
Maria Cobuzzi was a faithful friend to my Mother, Maria Procaccini. Mrs. Cobuzzi placed telephone calls to my Mother on a regular basis over the years and their conversations were very much enjoyed and anticiapated by Maria Procaccini. Thank you, Mrs. Cobuzzi, for the care, attention and thoughtfulness you have always shown my Mother. The Procaccini Family misses seeing the Cobuzzi name on caller ID. Love, Angelina Procaccini
I met Mrs. Cobuzzi only one time, through her daughter, Lena. It was a short but fun visit with her as she and I shared basic introductions over a few pieces of chocolate at her kitchen table. She was such a vivacious and warm person. I knew then right then it was a special conversation I’d always remember.
So sorry for your loss.
