Maria Tofalo

Maria (Gesualdi) Tofalo, 78, passed away on July 25, 2026 following a lengthy illness.

Born in Panni, Italy, on March 24, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Arcangelo and Costanza (DelVicario) Gesualdi. Maria moved to the United States when she was 14 and had been a Danvers resident ever since. She was a devoted communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church. A dedicated homemaker, Maria enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family, who meant everything to her.

She is survived by three children Joseph Tofalo of Danvers, Daniel Tofalo and his wife Patricia of Melrose and Michelle Sutherland and her husband Joseph of Danvers her sister Grazia Mastrangelo of Danvers and her sister-in-law Giuseppina Gesualdi of Danvers, her granddaughters, Gianna, Emma, Allyson and Rachel, her former husband Michael Tofalo and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Anna Calitri and John Gesualdi.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on 10AM on Saturday, August 1, 2026 in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visitation will be held from 4-6PM on Friday, July 31, 2026 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
