marilyn costanzo
Marilyn J. (Malo) Costanzo, 71, passed peacefully on September 10th, in her home with her husband and family by her side, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was a 1960 graduate of Lynn English High School. Professionally she worked for Prudential Insurance in Boston and later worked as a well-known real-estate agent in the North Shore area. In her earlier years, she enjoyed horseback riding, snowmobiling, and skiing. She enjoyed dancing, Caribbean cruises, and resort casinos. Her greatest love was entertaining family and friends in her home, her door was always open. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She, unconditionally, accepted and epitomized the role of nurturer and caregiver to everyone she knew. She touched many hearts and will be truly missed by all. She was predeceased by parents, Victor and Madelyn (DeFelice) Malo of Lynn, her brothers Richard Malo and brother John Malo of Lynn. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Frank E. Costanzo of Danvers, son, John (and Melinda) Costanzo of North Reading, and daughter, Lisa (and Jess) Hinkle and grandson, Jesse of Connecticut, and her youngest brother, Robert Malo of Florida. Plans for a celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the organization that helped the family through difficult times: Care Dimensions at 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B102, Danvers, MA 01923.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Growing up Marilyn was one of the best moms in town. She was always welcoming, always happy to see you and always wanted you to sit and chat. She made the Costanzo household a continuous gathering place for all the kids. I have so many fond memories from my childhood in that house. As we got older, it was about playing cards into the wee hours. Frank, John and Lisa, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I am so sorry for your loss. I feel blessed to have shared so much time in my life with such a magnificent woman.

  2. Marilyn was truly a kind caring person who knew how to have fun. Her family was the most important thing to her. Marilyn & Frank’s Halloween Parties and their pool parties couldn’t be matched. She was taken from this world much too young, but, I’m sure knowing Marilyn she will be watching all of us with a big smile on her face. Marilyn will be missed by many who loved her. Love you! Nancy Gallo
