Marion (Jaras) Helinski, 89, wife of the late Edward “Andy” Helinski died on November 28, 2011, peacefully at Beverly Hospital. Born on December 2, 1921 in Brighton and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Marie (Lutus) Jaras. Marion graduated from Lynn English High School and worked at Lynn City Hall for many years, before moving to Danversport over 60 years ago. She spent years boating with her husband and is a past member of the Danvers River Committee. She always had a passion for sewing and was admired by her family and friends as an exceptional seamstress. Marion is survived by her daughters, Ann and her husband Stowe “Bud” Sayward of Danvers and Carol Helinski of Stoneham, her sister and best friend Bertha Helinski of Danvers, her brother Albert Jaras and his wife Patricia of Peabody and her niece and nephew, Janine and Michael Jaras. Marion was the proud grandmother to Susan (Sayward) Hourihan and her husband Brendan of Danvers, and her two precious great grandchildren Alyson and Patrick. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Thurs., Dec. 1, 2011 in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem. Vst. hrs are Wed. from 4-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
