Marsha (Scott) Provost, 70, died Thursday, November 3, 2011 in Beverly Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Edmond Provost. Born in Malden on June 9, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Martha (Barrett) Scott. She was raised and educated in Saugus and was a graduate of Saugus High School, Class of 1960. Marsha lived in Peabody for several years before moving to Danvers twenty-eight years ago. She enjoyed volunteering her time at Spectrum Adult Daycare and at the Danvers Senior Center. A communicant of Saint Richard Church, she was a Eucharistic Minister there. She is survived by a sister, Sandra Fortier of New Hampshire, two brothers, Richard Scott of Florida and Wayne Scott of Weymouth, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Edmond Scott Provost. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 9AM in St. Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St., Peabody. Visiting hours are Sunday from 4-6PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marsha’s memory to St. Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers, MA 01923.

  1. May Marsha rest in peace. I did not know Marsha personally, but I was friends with her nephew Edmond, who was taken from us as well. May they both find each other and rest eternally together. Sorry for the family’s loss.
