Mary A. (LaJoie) (Murray) Jillson, 83, of Danvers, passed away surrounded by her family on October 25, 2024 in her home. She was the wife of the late Leslie Jillson.
Born in Lynn on January 11, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gladys (Shroder) LaJoie. Mary was raised and educated in Lynn and graduated from Saint Mary High School. Mary enjoyed cooking, game night with her friends and trips to the casino. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by four daughters, Lisa Stinson of Saugus, Michelle Murray-Mendez of Danvers, Danielle Murray of Danvers, and Amy Murray of Danvers, her sister, Anne DeBonis of NH, and Marion Gustavson of MD, her grandchildren, James Murray, David Toppi, Joseph Roy, Alyssa Mendez, Shawn and Olivia Ayott and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Jaimee Mendez and her former husband James Murray.
Her Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, November 1, 2024, at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-10:45AM prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mary’s name to Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave, MA 01970.
