Mary Agnes (Deschenes) Craig

87, passed away at Salem Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harold Craig. Born in Salem on Jan. 4, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Omer and Rose (Englehardt) Deschenes. She was raised and educated in Salem, but resided most of her life in Beverly, where she raised her family. Mary was employed at Black and Decker in the former United Shoe Company for over five years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Beano. She is survived by eight siblings, Joanne Cormier of Salem, Eilleen L’Italien of Salem, Adele Cempellin of Middleton, Mary Lou Milton of NH, Lilliane DiCroce of Beverly, Theresa Lesch of Beverly, Arthur Deschenes of Danvers and John Deschenes of NH, her children Pamela Gagne of VA and Keith Alan Craig of FL, a grandson Keith A. Craig and two great grandchildren, Shane and Jaidyne Craig. She was predeceased by a brother James Deschenes. A funeral service will be held on Thurs., Jan. 7, 2010 at 6:30PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Vst. Hrs will be held prior to the service from 3:00-6:15PM on Thurs.
