She served as a Danvers Town Meeting Member, as Chair of the Danvers Tax Advisory Committee, and as an Election worker. She was a member, volunteer and former Trustee and Secretary of the Danvers Historical Society as well as involved with numerous other North Shore civic, social and professional organizations over the years. She is survived by her beloved son and caretaker, Wayne H. Eisenhauer of Danvers, her sister-in-law Corinne C. Manning of Salem, four nieces and five nephews and numerous cousins. Her brother, Robert J. Manning of Centerville, Cape Cod, predeceased her in 1987. The family thanks the physicians, nurses and other staff of Beverly Hospital, Lahey Clinic and Partners Health Care At Home for their compassionate and expert care of Mary over the last four years. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Per her request, there are no visiting hours and burial will be private. A celebration of her life, with a planting of a memorial tree, will be held at a later date at the Danvers Historical Society’s Glen Magna Farms.
