Mary L. Carroll

Mary Louise (Norton) Carroll, 95, of Danvers, formerly of Charlestown, passed away on August 29, 2026. She was the beloved wife of John “Jack” L. Carroll, and sister of late Claire F. Healy and Francis X. Norton.

She is survived by nephews and nieces, Mark J. Norton of Melrose, Gregg Norton of Revere, and Patrick and Ellen Healy of Wakefield, RI as well as many grandnephews and nieces.

Born in Charlestown on September 18, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Daley) Norton. Mary attended Girls Catholic in Malden and then married Jack and moved into their new home in Danvers. She worked for many years at Dr. MacGillivray’s in Danvers, as office manager. Mary was a faithful member of the Marian Rosary Prayer Group which started in 1990.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 11AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers.  Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers.  Relatives and friends are invited.  Visitation will be Thursday morning from 9:30am to 10:30am in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.
