A. Mary (Orlando) Mackey, 80, died Monday morning, September 26, 2011 following a lengthy illness in the Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the loving wife of Daniel J. Mackey, with whom she shared fifty-seven years of marriage. Born in Danvers on April 9, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Agata (Marinaccio) Orlando, she was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Holten High School, Class of 1949. She was employed for many years as a secretary at Mrs. Day’s Ideal Baby Shoe Company in Danvers and actively supported her husband in the family business, Thomas Mackey & Sons. A lifelong Danvers resident, Mrs. Mackey was a communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church and was dedicated to her loving family. In addition to her husband, she leaves three nephews, Anthony Orlando and his wife Barbara of California, Ronald Orlando of California, and Stephen D’Aquino of Florida, and two goddaughters, Joan Johnson of Wrentham and Priscilla Jamont of New Hampshire. She was the cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews and was the loving sister of the late Vito Orlndo and Louise D’Aquino. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Mackey’s name may be made to Hospice of the Nrth Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.

Uncle Danny I am sorry for your loss, Aunt Mary is in a better place now, she is not suffering anymore, she can finally rest in Peace, you will be okay, because that is what she wanted, just remember all the good times and that will put a smile on your face, and she will always be with you in your heart, memories last a lifetime, god bless.
