Mary McDonald

Mary M. (Apostlos) McDonald, 87, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late David McDonald. Born in Lynn on Aug. 15, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Helen (Sparkas) Apostlos. She was raised and educated in Lynn and had been a resident of Salem for more than fifty years. She is survived by her loving children, Carole Madore-Smith and her husband Mark of Salem and David “Butch” McDonald Jr. and his wife Wendy of Danvers, 4 grandchildren, Nadine Kent-Hornblower, Ronni Madore-Semons, David “D.J.” McDonald III, and Darlene McDonald, 7 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her children, Patrick and Frances McDonald and Margaret Mello. Her Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 10:30AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will precede the service in the funeral home from 8:30-10:30AM.
