Mary Rose Taubner

DANVERS- Mary Rose (Bode) Taubner, 90, formerly of Danvers, died Monday morning January 12, 2015 at Rivercrest Wellness and Rehab in Concord, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Fred R. Taubner with whom she shared nearly 55 years of marriage.
Born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 10, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William and Theo (Hamming) Bode. Mary Rose was raised and educated in Louisville and moved to Massachusetts in 1956.
A Danvers resident for over 50 years, she was a regular communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Parish. She moved to Concord, MA in 2010 to be closer to her family. Mary Rose enjoyed baking, crocheting, tending to her garden and was a lifelong Red Sox fan. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and especially enjoyed teasing them.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Taubner Randall and her husband Scott Randall, of Concord and her two grandchildren, Theo and Ivy Randall. She was predeceased by her brother Paul Bode.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Sylvan St., Danvers. Visitation will be held prior to the Mass from 8-8:45AM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Mary Rose’s name to Presentation Academy, 861 S. 4th St., Louisville, KY 40203.
