Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I have many memories of “Miss” Scannell trying to pass the subtleties of the Enflish language on to this stubborn high school student. Please accept my condolonces and enjoy your memories. Cliff Albrecht, LHS ’59

  2. I have many fond memories of “Miss Scannel.” She had a wonderful sense of humor especially when we did not feel like reading Shakespeare on a sunny spring day. Mary was an inspiration to Leicester High. Debby Sargent Allan class of 1956.

  3. What a great English and French teacher she was, and she had immense patience with me as a student. My sympathies are with you for your loss. Paul Stakun, LHS ’58

  4. My deepest sympathy to Miss Scannell’s family. She was my French teacher in my senior year at LHS 1960. There were about 6 students and our class was held in the school library. Looking back on that time, she was not that much older than we were. May she rest in peace.

  5. To the Graw Family: Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. As two students of Leicester High School class of 1962, Ms. Scannell was an English teacher to my husband and Basketball Coach to me. A fine gracious lady who will be remembered with the highest regard for education and the ability to show great leadership with her team members. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Jim and Maureen Connery
