Melissa Dawn Campbell, 53, passed away in her home on February 20, 2026 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Danvers on June 10, 1972, she was the beloved daughter of Marsha (Reiniger) Campbell of Danvers and Joseph Campbell of Middleton. She was raised and educated in Danvers and graduated from Danvers High School in 1990. She attended Essex North Shore-Agricultural and Technical School where she studied hair design and cosmetology. Melissa built a successful career in the beauty industry and opened her own salon over 15 years ago, Shine Beauty by the Sea in Manchester-by-the-Sea.

Melissa adored the outdoors and enjoyed trips to the Berkshires and Catskill Mountains. She enjoyed exploring gardens for their natural beauty. She cherished traveling and adventures with her late sister Shayna.

In addition to her parents, Joseph and Marsha, she is survived by her brother Joey Campbell, her companion, Scott Milbury and his daughter Ashe, her dear friend Laura Pulzone, her beloved cat Olivia and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister and best friend Shayna.

Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Her Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10AM on Friday, February 27, 2026 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, 30 Sylvan St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Northeast Animal Shelter https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/northeast-animal-shelter or by mail at 347 Highland Ave Salem MA 01970.   2. I have memories of Melissa that go all the way back to Great Oak Elementary School in Danvers. All of them are of a sweet smiling girl who never seemed to age. I’m so very sorry for your loss.
