DANVERS- Michael C. Finney, 54, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 2, 2024. He was the husband of Jodie L. (Ferneza) Finney with whom he shared 23 years of marriage. Born in Gloucester on August 19, 1969, he was the son of Sharon (O’Leary) Finney of Beverly and the late Earl Finney. Michael was raised and educated in Beverly. He resided there until 2012, when he and his family moved to Danvers. Michael had been employed with Medtronic in Danvers for over thirty-five years where he held many positions including, but not limited to, production associate, R & D/ AME and his current position of Technician V. He was a part of the Equipment Development Group, which specialized in fabrication and machine repair. During his tenure at Medtronic, he also achieved his bachelor’s degree in business from Endicott College. In his free time, Mike enjoyed spending time outdoors, where he rode motorcycles, fished, practiced his archery skills and hiked many local trails. In the summer of 2023, he developed a new found interest in gardening. Outside of those hobbies, Michael was also a self-taught welder and created many unique pieces of metal art. In addition to his wife, Jodie and mother Sharon, he is survived by two daughters, Emma, 21 and Melanie 18, both who he loved very much, his sister Jodi Nicastro of Gloucester, his brother Jeffrey Finney of Beverly, many sisters and brothers-in-law, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and a special uncle, Raymond O’Leary of Gloucester. His services will be held privately.
