Resided in:
Danvers, Massachusetts
Michael F. Reardon, “Mike,” or “Pipa,” as he was known by many, was born on November 16th 1946 in Lynn, MA to the late Raymond Francis Reardon and late Mary R. Reardon of Swampscott, MA.
Mike was the oldest of two siblings, the late John T. Reardon, and Nancy A. Corning, with whom he spent most of his childhood growing up on Chestnut St. in Danvers.
Mike graduated from Danvers High School in 1964 and attended Ben Franklin Institute of Technology in Boston for Drafting. Soon after he chose to follow in his father’s footsteps by serving our country. He enlisted into the US Army, Signal Service Unit at age 19. His basic training took place at Ft. Dix in NJ, then he was then stationed at Ft. Gordon in GA before going overseas. Mike’s first assignment was in Kaiserslautern, Germany as a Communications Center Specialist. He was then sent to Vietnam where he served in The War from December of 1967 to December of 1968. Mike’s time in the service took him to many places including Norway, Turkey, Spain and more. Mike later joined the U.S. Air Force where he climbed the ranks to earn the title of Master Sargent, He served 20+ years in the Massachusetts Air National Guard, 267th Combat Communications Squadron.
Back home Mike met wife Nancy B. (Hayden) Reardon of Danvers, with whom he spent 54 years of dedicated marriage. Mike and Nancy met at Hunt Hospital and were married on August 2nd 1970. They have three children, Robert Francis Reardon, Andrew Michael Reardon, and Karen Ann Reardon. Mike was a dedicated provider for his family. Always ensuring his family was taken care of. Not only was Mike a great father in the traditional sense, but he was also there for his children emotionally, always providing support and leading by great example.
Outside of his service, Mike held multiple electronics related jobs, the first being at Post Electronics Products in Beverly, then Varian, and finally CPI in Beverly where he worked as a Manufacturing Supervisor for over 45 years. Mike had many memories and friends at CPI, a place where he spent many years and shared the same workplace as brother John, and son Rob.
Later in life Mike finally became “Pipa” by having his first granddaughter Justice Reardon. He then continued to be a proud Pipa with the birth of grandsons Jacob Reardon and John (Jack) Francis Reardon. Pipa spent much of his time being a dedicated grandfather. One of his favorite pastimes was sharing stories of his time in the service. He was a proud veteran and loved to relive his life experiences with his grandchildren. He created so many new memories with them as well; Always going on adventures, singing songs, telling stories, and never taking life too seriously.
Pipa was a wonderful example to both his children and grandchildren. Always approaching every situation with logic and kindness, patience and understanding. He was a beacon of wisdom and calm that we will always yearn to achieve. Pipa led with his heart and always showed a great amount of integrity in anything he did. He has had a profound impact on all of his family members, his grandchildren especially. They cherish the joyous memories he gave them and promise to spread kindness and laughter in his honor.
His life and legacy will continue to live on through his wife, Nancy B. Reardon; his children: Rob, Andy and Karen Reardon; his grandchildren: Justice, Jacob and Jack Reardon; his sister, Nancy Corning, and many more relatives and close friends.
Pipa, we love you, you will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

So sorry for this loss.
Karen, Robbie,Andy, Nancy , I am so sorry to learn of the passing of your Dad( Mike) he was a part of my childhood just like you all were. I really liked him and I remember him fondly , when I got married he video taped my whole wedding and reception. And those videos are amazing. I remember him standing on chairs and tables kneeling and getting all these amazing shots and interviews. He will forever hold a special place in my heart. Rest in Peace Mike and if you see my mom give her a big hug from us all. Love to your family during this difficult time .
Sending Love and Light from Texas. Know that I have each of you in my thoughts and prayers during this time.
Rob and Reardon Family – Please accept my condolences at this difficult time. I worked with Mike for many years, as the company transitioned from Varian to CPI. Mike always had a smile and was willing to assist with the many questions I had with periodic inventories from his work group. He had many friends at CPI and will be missed by those who worked with him.
