PEABODY- Michael H. Kirby, 56, passed away on March 12, 2023, in Beverly Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Beverly on June 29, 1966, he was the beloved son of the late Anna Patricia Kirby. Michael was developmentally challenged and had attended Bass River, Inc. day program in Beverly for many years. Michael enjoyed music, fried food and ice-cream. He especially enjoyed taking car rides with his family and friends.
He is survived by his twin sister, Anne Marie Innis of Danvers, two nephews, James and Matthew Innis both of Danvers and many friends from his group home in Peabody as well as Bass River.
Michael’s family would like to thank the New England Residential Services and especially his longtime nurse, Ellen, for the wonderful care that was given to him.

Sorry to hear this news. I had the pleasure of first meeting Michael at his sister Anne’s sleepover at the family home many years ago. Coincidentally I became a teachers aide in Micheal’s classroom years later and got to know him. He had a big personality and was a joy to work with. Take care
