Michael J. McNasby

DANVERS- Michael J. McNasby, 76, passed away on February 6, 2023, in Lahey Burlington Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara (Paul) McNasby with whom he shared forty-three years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 5, 1947, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Lafferty) McNasby. Michael was raised and educated in Philadelphia, where he also had a long career in trucking. Michael, along with his wife, moved to Danvers, Massachusetts six years ago to spend more time with his family. He spent much of his time with his two granddaughters — always sharing his favorite songs, jokes, and random facts. He was a doting grandfather and during the pandemic even served as his youngest granddaughter’s preschool teacher. In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by his son, Michael D. McNasby of Beverly, his granddaughters, Arya and Madelyn, his sisters, Margaret Volz and Kathleen Cram of PA and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, John and Mary McNasby. His Graveside service will be held at 10AM on Friday, February 10, 2023, in Walnut Grove Cemetery, 30 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA.
