Michele A. (York) Hannon, 51, of Danvers died peacefully at home early Thursday morning surrounded by her beloved husband and animals. She was the loving wife and best friend of Mark C. Hannon, with whom she shared the last 22 years. Born in Yonkers, NY on March 13, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bette (Davis) York. Michele was raised and educated in Whippany, NJ and was a graduate of the Allentown Hospital School of Nursing in Pennsylvania. Michele had been employed as a registered nurse at Salem Hospital since 1986, where she was a caring and compassionate caregiver. An avid gardener, she loved caring for her home. She cherished the trips taken with her husband, especially to Jamaica and Key West. Michele loved being out and surrounding herself with people. In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her brothers, Scott Semko of FL and Chris Semko of NJ, her stepmother, June York, her stepsister, Jean Quinn, both of PA, her father-in-law, James Hannon Sr. of Danvers, her dear friend Warren Glazer, and a loving extended family and many great friends. A celebration of Michele’s life will be Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 at 11AM in the Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, 16 Sylvan St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or the Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave., Salem, MA 01970.
