Miriam C. Schwarz

Miriam C. (Druken)Schwarz, 90, passed away on January 30, 2024 in Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late John A. Schwarz.
Born in Revere on June 4, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Phoebe (Hiscock) Druken. Miriam was raised and educated in Revere. She moved to Danvers with her husband in 1953 and had been a communicant of Saint Richard Parish. Miriam had a long career as a waitress. She had worked for many local restaurants, retiring from the Century House after 20 years. Miriam enjoyed her coffee, shopping at local stores and yard sales and loved her animals.
She is survived by three children, Kenneth Schwarz of Danvers, Larry Schwarz of Danvers and Paula Bowser and her husband Robert of NH, four grandchildren, John Schwarz III, Jason Schwarz, Bobby Bowser and Christopher Bowser, five great grandchildren and four cousins in Nova Scotia. She was predeceased by her son, John Schwarz, Jr.
Her funeral will take place on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 9:15AM from C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers followed by her Funeral Mass at 10AM in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Miriam’s name to the Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave, Salem, MA, 01970.
