Nancy Murphy

Nancy Murphy, 70, of Danvers, formerly of New Bedford passed away on September 30, 2024 in Beverly Hospital following a battle with lung cancer. Nancy was a loving mother and nana and will be missed. She was the wife of the late William F. Murphy, Jr.

Born on May 7, 1954, and raised in Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Dale and Erlene Irwin. For the majority of her life she resided in New Bedford and more recently Danvers, to be closer to her family. Nancy enjoyed gardening and birdwatching. Above all, Nancy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Charles Airhart of Danvers and her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Tiffany Murphy of New Bedford, her grandchildren, Derek, Matthew and Rochelle and siblings, Donald Irwin and Peg Kubley both of Indiana and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Keith and Richard Irwin.

Her graveside service will be held at 11AM on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
