Nazzaro Roger Congley

Nazzaro Roger Congley, 86, of Danvers, formerly of Beverly, died Monday, February 29, 2016 at Beverly Hospital. He was the husband of the late Angelina (Villanti) Congley.
Born in Beverly on July 5, 1929, he was the son of the late Gregory and Margaret (Risoldi) Congley. He was raised and educated there and was a graduate of Beverly High School. A proud American veteran, he served honorably in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps, and then in the Massachusetts National Guard until 1980.
Mr. Congley was employed by GTE-Sylvania for many years until the time of his retirement.
A member of the American Legion Spear Post #331, he was a member of their color guard. He was a life member of the Andover Sportsmen Club and loved fishing, hunting, and archery. He enjoyed playing the harmonica.
He leaves two children, Cathryne Buivid Thraen and her husband Robert of Danvers and Philip Congley and his wife Doris of North Hampton, NH, his grandchildren, Robert Buivid and his wife Helen, Phillip Buivid, Ryan Congley, Riley Thraen, and Donna Trepanier, two great-grandchildren, Jack and Winter, his sister, Catherine Poaletta, his brother, Vincent Congley, and many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 1PM in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Cabot St., Beverly. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Brimbal Ave., Beverly.
