Pamela Lee (Genest) Joyce, formerly of Danvers, died unexpectedly at her home in Somersworth, NH on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011. She was the loving wife of the late Daniel P. Joyce, with whom she shared 25 years of marriage. Born in Beverly on June 7, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Viola (Graves) Genest. She was raised and educated in Beverly and was a 1974 graduate of Beverly High School. A Danvers resident for more than 25 years, Mrs. Joyce resided in New Hampshire for the last five years. She enjoyed cooking, music, and caring for her dog, Kody. She is survived by two beloved sons, Joseph Joyce of Somersworth, NH, and James Joyce of Danvers, three brothers, Paul Genest of Beverly, Ronald Genest and his wife Rita of Danvers, and Michael Genest of NH, three sisters-in-law, Linda Casale of Danvers, Kathy Joyce of NH, and Barbara Farese of Danvers, and several nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 10AM in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Sylvan St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. As requested, there are no visiting hours.
Our family extends our condolences to the Joyce family and all who were privileged to have known Pamela. May she rest in peace and may she be remembered by all forever. “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
My deepest sympathy to Ron, Paul and Mike and also to the Joyce family. May she rest in peace.
My condolences to Pam’s family and friends on our untimely loss of a truly loved woman. I am glad that I had the opportunity to know her and to have shared the camaraderie of marching together in drum corps. She has gone to join that great horn line in the sky. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight. ~Kahlil Gibran
Sympathy for you and your entire family Joe. God bless
My sincere condolences to the Joyce family. My heart breaks for Pammy’s sons and her extended family. I knew Pammy when we were kids and met in drum corps when we were in the Immaculate Conception Comets and then the Rockettes in Salem. The “Beverly Crew” carpooled to practice. So many fond memories of those days. We eventually lived next door to each other and had many fun filled times together. I was honored to have Pammy be in my wedding party and was looking through those pictures and others after I heard the news. I am very sad that she is no longer with us. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Pammy’s whole Family!!Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time!! God Bless!! Rory & Nancy Devlin & Family
