Patricia A. Goehlert, 80, of Hamilton, peacefully passed away on March 2, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late Richard Goehlert.

Born in San Antonio, TX on October 1, 1944, she was the daughter of the late William and Irene (Kozlowski) Donovan. She was raised and educated in Pittsburg, PA and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1962. She received her bachelor’s degree in 1966 from Duquesne University. In 1967 she moved to Boston where she started her lifelong commitment to the field of social work. She received her master’s degree in social work from Boston College in 1975 and moved to the North Shore after marrying Richard.

She had resided in Hamilton for over forty-five years and was extremely active within her community. She had been a member of the Hamilton Council on Aging and the Ipswich YMCA. Patricia was a frequent visitor to the public library and enjoyed time with her book clubs. She was extremely creative, she painted, gardened, and was a talented writer. Patricia also enjoyed walking along the beaches of the north shore and taking trips around New England to enjoy the foliage. Patricia’s grandchildren were her greatest joy. You would often find her at their sports games and events taking pictures from a front-row seat.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew and Corinne Goehlert of Scituate and Timothy and Rhiannon Goehlert of Danvers, five grandchildren, Carter, Reece, Kolten, Will and Rylan, three siblings and their spouses, Paul and Kathy Donovan of Anthem, AZ, Margaret and Fred Decker of Lady Lake, FL, and Michael and Sharon Donovan of Pittsburgh, PA and several nieces and nephews.
