Paul F. Ferguson age 87 of San Antonio, Texas died Friday, July 13, 2012. He was the husband of Mary (Caulfield) Ferguson with whom he shared 64 years of marriage. He was born on February 16, 1925 in Danvers, son of the late George and Catherine (Doyle) Ferguson. Paul graduated from Danvers High Class of 1942. He was awarded a Bachelor's Degree from Harvard University and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Boston University Law School. He also received a Master's of Library Science from Our Lady of the Lake University. Mr. Ferguson was a Veteran of WWII and Korean War, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Captain and in the Judge Advocate General's Corps. He was both a lawyer in private practice and the Law Librarian for Essex County Massachusetts from 1953-1966. In 1966 he moved from Marblehead, to San Antonio, TX after being recruited by St. Mary's University Law School to serve as its law librarian. He impacted the lives of many lawyers in San Antonio and Texas during his tenure as a Professor and Library Director at St. Mary's University Law School from1966-1995. In addition to his wife Mary, he is survived by his children, Paul, Jr., Peter, Anne and husband, Roland, and Mark; his beloved grandchildren, Colleen, Ryan, Matthew and Ben; sisters, Mary and Margaret; brother, John; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother George. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Saturday, August 11, 2012 in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers.
