Paul F. Marchant

Paul F. Marchant, 53, died unexpectedly at home on Friday, October 22, 2010. He was the loving husband of Catherine J. (Vizena) Marchant, with whom he shared 21 years of marriage. Born in Danvers on July 21, 1957, he was the son of the late Robert and Barbara (O’Brien) Marchant. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 1975. Paul was employed as a driver at Eastern Propane for more than fifteen years. A lifelong Danvers resident, he was a member of the Polish Club and the Knights of Columbus, Thomas E. Power Council #1505. He enjoyed spending time with friends building campfires in his backyard and throwing horseshoes. Paul was a dedicated husband and loving father who worked hard to provide for his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Jessica Marchant of Danvers, Adam Marchant of Danvers, Robert Silva and his wife Renee of Beverly, and Jason Silva and his wife Nastassja of Boise, Idaho, two sisters, Anne Dzierzak of Danvers and Jeanne Zibell and her husband John of Huntsville, AL, four grandchildren, Aiden Marchant, and Jason, Teagan, and Kendyl Silva, his mother- and father-in-law, Joan and Eugene Vizena of Danvers, a niece and many nephews. Paul’s visiting hours will be Tuesday, October 26, 2010 from 4-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. A funeral service will follow at 7PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., 330 Congress St. #501, Boston, MA 02210.
A lot of nights sitting at the wall good company like you Paul. All the time we knew you I never seen you mad at anything. I am sure there is a place waiting for you with God Paul. We will party again when we get there. Hopefully I’ll make it. Am sure Roberta will. Later. Ron & Roberta McElwain.
