DANVERS—Paul R. Peicott, Jr., 83, died Saturday evening, July 30, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Barbara (Duffy) Peicott, with whom he shared fifty-eight years of marriage. Born in Salem on March 13, 1928, he was the son of the late Paul and Margaret (DeMuth) Peicott. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School. He then served honorably aboard the USS North Carolina during WWII. For many years, Mr. Peicott owned and operated Acoustical Installations Company. A longtime Danvers resident, he had resided in Newburyport in recent years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed wintering in Florida. Aside from raising his family, he volunteered many years coaching Danvers youth football and little league baseball. Memorable years were spent with his family vacationing at Newfound Lake, NH. A devoted father and grandfather, he adored spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons, John of Fremont, OH, Paul and his wife Mary of Danvers, Richard and his wife Leah of Georgetown, Bob and his wife Shelly of Newburyport, and Kevin of Haverhill, a daughter-in-law, Casey Peicott of Newburyport, two sisters, Dorothy Zareas of NH and Patricia Bennett of North Andover, a brother, Robert “Buddy” Peicott of Peabody, 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Joseph and Michael Peicott. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011 at 9AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 5-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.
