Paul R. Lyth
June 5, 1954 ~ March 20, 2023
Paul Robert Lyth, 68, of Danvers, died with family by his side on Monday, March 20, 2023. He passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a brave battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Kathleen Gail (Ryan) Lyth, with whom he shared forty-three years of marriage.
Born in Minneapolis, MN on June 5, 1954, Paul was the son of the late Robert and Eileen (Anderson) Lyth. He was raised and educated in Minneapolis and Boxford, MA. He was a 1972 graduate of Masconomet High School and 1974 graduate of Andover School of Business.
In addition to his wife, Kathy, he is survived by his three sons: Matthew Lyth of Danvers; David Lyth, his wife Brittany, and their dog Wesley of Waltham; and Benjamin Lyth of Danvers; two sisters and their husbands, Diane and Clyde Frith of Fernandina Beach, FL; and Sandra and Brian Donovan of Wayne, NJ; as well as his much-loved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Paul spent his career working as a roofer and retired from Aspen Roofing of Peabody after many years of loyal service. During his retirement, Paul looked forward to his yearly trip up north with his wife and friends. He also enjoyed playing endless rounds of golf with his friends and family, spending time with his buddies at the garage, and taking his daily trips to Home Depot or Lowes to find a great deal.
Paul was an accomplished and hardworking handyman. He didn't mind getting handed a to-do list with small projects or receiving a phone call asking for advice on how to fix something. He was always there when someone needed a hand.
Paul was a devoted Patriots fan. He had Patriots season tickets for years, and even when he wasn't at the game, he would call out plays and coach his beloved team through the TV! Paul made it known to everyone how much he loved sports, but he loved his family even more. This was evident as he would travel anywhere to watch his son coach basketball games. He always made himself available to support his family.
Paul will be dearly missed by all who got to know him and spend time with him. He touched so many over the years and will not be forgotten.

Paul buddy, Sagamore on Sunday mornings won’t ever be the same. This would have been year 33. It was 32 years of fun and laughter. Miss you already.
