Pauline A. (Joyce) Kowalski

PEABODY- Pauline A. (Joyce) Kowalski, 87, passed away on February 12, 2016 in the Continuing Care Center at Brooksby Village, Peabody. She was the loving wife of the late Theodore L. Kowalski.
Born in Danvers on January 7, 1929, she was the daughter or the late Charles and Leona (Loiselle) Joyce. Pauline was raised and educated in Danvers and graduated from Holten High School in 1947. She had been employed as a bookkeeper at Surrette Battery of Salem and United Die in Danvers. Pauline had resided in Peabody since 1952, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Society at Saint Joseph’s Church. Pauline retired to Brooksby Village in 2008. She enjoyed gardening and knitting, and cherished her grandson, Daniel.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and James Tomes of Danvers and her son and daughter-in-law, David and Debra Kowalski of Peabody, her grandson, Daniel Kowalski of Peabody, and two sisters, Sally Milne of Vermont and Patrice Joyce of Peabody. She was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Joyce, Elaine Joyce and Margaret Moreau.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 5-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pauline’s memory may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA, 01923.
