Peter M. Maleck

Peter M. Maleck, 62, passed away following a brief illness on March 7, 2014 in Lahey Clinic Burlington. Born in Salem on May 29, 1951, he was the son of the late John and Alice (Zielski) Maleck. Peter was raised and educated in Danvers and graduated from Danvers High School in 1969. Peter enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, camping, gardening and playing horse shoes. He was employed as a fisherman for many years, working in Alaska, Louisiana and various places on the East Coast. Peter also worked as a mason. Peter was an active member at the Franco American Club in Beverly and enjoyed cooking at their events. He especially enjoyed spending time with his beloved daughter, Chantel. Peter also helped coach his daughter’s softball teams. Besides his daughter, Chantel LaBrie of Danvers, he is survived by his brother John Maleck of Danvers, his nephew Daniel Maleck of Danvers. His Funeral Service will be celebrated at 7PM on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Visiting hours are prior to the service on Wednesday from 4:00-6:45PM in the funeral home. A celebration of Peter's life will also be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at noon in the Polish Club, 12 Cheever St., Danvers.
