Peter Michael Pierce

Peter Michael Pierce, 57, passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2014.
Born in Salem on October 12, 1956, he was the son of the late George F. and Ruth (Maguire) Pierce. He was raised and educated in Danvers and had resided in Wakefield for the past thirteen years. He served with the United States Navy from 1975-1980. Peter enjoyed landscaping and the outdoors.
He is survived by his siblings, Philip Pierce and his wife Marie of York, Maine, Jane Gradzewicz of Wakefield, Marianne Carlson of Lynn, George Pierce and his wife Catherine of Nashville, TN and Edward Pierce and his wife Steva of Peabody, and many nieces and nephews.
Peter’s family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 4-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Peter’s name to DAV (Disabled American Veterans) P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH, 45250.
I was so saddened to hear this news! As members of the youth group at the Congo. Church in Wakefield, Peter, Tommy Barker, Beth Holmes And I became dear friends! We shared many good times & adventures together! Time flies & we all found our separate paths but my heart sends love to these dear old friends regularly wondering how they are & wishing them well…always hoping our paths will cross again one day! My boys were born at the Concord Hospital & I still live in that area. …So close & yet so far away…Sending sincere condolences to all who loved him and know that he lives on in our hearts forever for he shared his kindness & good humor while he was with us!
