Peter Romagnoli, 85, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 following a brief illness. He was the loving husband of the late Jeanne (Kozak) Romagnoli. Born in Salem on Sept. 24, 1928, he was the son of the late Caesar and Evelyn (Mascherucci) Romagnoli. He was raised and educated in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Army. A longtime Danvers resident, Peter was employed for many years as an aviation mechanic. He later worked as an industrial mechanic until the time of his retirement. A member of Teamers Local 42, he also belonged to the Vittori-Rocci Post #56 and the Italian Community Club in Beverly. His passion was fishing, and he loved working in his garden and target shooting. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Nina and Gerard Manning of Danvers, David and Lauren Romagnoli of Salisbury, Paul and Phyllis Romagnoli of Newmarket, NH, and John and Susan Romagnoli of Andover, his grandchildren, Jason Romagnoli, Joshua Manning, David Romagnoli II, Ethan Romagnoli, Alexandra Romagnoli, Peter Romagnoli II, Anthony Romagnoli, Edward Romagnoli, and Janel Romagnoli, his great-grandchildren, Samantha, Henry, and Gina, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson, Christopher Fiorillo, and two brothers, Guido and Paul Romagnoli. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.
