  1. Dear Pergola Family, My husband and I are planning to visit the Boston area next week, and I said let me see if I can find Phil and Susan. When I searched for Phil, I came up with this very sad notice. Even though it’s been many years, your family has always held a very special place in my heart. I will never forget staying at the house in Danvers and waking up to the smells of breakfast. I can still see your Mom & Dad as it were yesterday. Know that I love you all and you are in my prayers. Love, Camille, Keith & Jordan

  2. Blessed be the God…of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation… I have known Dotti Farr as a co-worker, I continue to pray for Dotti and her entire family’s strength, comfort and encouragement. Thank you for the opportunity to support your family, Mr. Pergola sounds like a wonderful man. His life was a gift, rejoice for the gift.

  3. My deepest sympathy to all. There was and will only ever be one “Uncle Phil”. I am so sorry I cannot be there with you this week, but I will have the painted rock that Uncle Phil made for me proudly placed on my head table this weekend so he will be right there with me. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I grieve with you, this loss of such a great man….Uncle Phil.

  4. I have many happy childhood memories of time spent in the Pergola household as Nancy’s lifelong friend living across the highway on State Road. Although I have long since left Danvers, I continued to be welcomed by Mr. and Mrs. Pergola into their home on my visits north. They were kind and inviting and who could resist Mr. Pergola’s stockpile of jokes! My sypathies to all the family of this wonderful man.

  5. Dear Family I am so sorry for your loss. In the past two years I got to know Phil, his wit, his quick responses and his wonderful personality. I looked forward to seeing him daily when I visited my husband. I will miss his presence very much. He was quite a man.
