Phyllis Trask (Howard) Amor

Phyllis Trask (Howard) Amor, 91, a lifelong Danvers resident, passed away on November 4, 2011 in Cedar Glen Nursing home. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Amor. Born in Danvers on Jan. 1, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Bertha (Rackliffe) Howard. Phyllis graduated from Holten High School in 1937. She had been employed with R&K Machine Precision, Signal Manufacturing and also Dunkin Donuts. Phyllis had been a member of the Y.D.V.A. and the North Shore Merchants Bowling League. She enjoyed dancing and also played competitive volleyball for many years. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Carol and Peter Yetman of Danvers, three sons and daughters-in-law, Edward “Jim” and Cynthia Amor of N. Andover, Robert and Kerri Amor of Danvers, David and Cynthia Amor of Georgetown, a daughter-in-law, Susan Amor of Danvers, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a brother Richard Howard of Peabody, a brother-in-law, John Sweeney of NH and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Donald Amor, a grandson Steven Amor, a great great grandson Kamdyn and two sisters, Edyth Howard and Helen Sweeney. The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the caring staff at Cedar Glen and Sol Amor Hospice. A Funeral Service will be held at 10AM on Wed., Nov. 9, 2011 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Vst. hrs are Tues from 5-8PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Sol Amor Hospice, 161 S. main St, Middleton MA 01949 or the Cedar Glen Nursing Home Activities Fund, 44 Summer St., Danvers, MA 01923.
