Rachel "Rae" Desrochers

Rachel "Rae" (Rocafort) Desrochers, 86, passed away on February 21, 2014 at Beverly Hospital. She was the loving wife of Jean E. Desrochers with whom she shared 48 years of marriage. Born in New York City, New York, she was raised and educated in New York and moved to West Peabody in 1965 after her marriage to Jean where they raised their four children. Rachel had been employed for many years as a supervisor with the former Superior Hat Leather Company in Peabody. She was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and Bruins hockey. Besides her husband, Jean, she is survived by her four children and their spouses, Julie and David Doucette of AZ, Amy and Kevin Martin of Dracut, Carolyn and John Malski of NH, and Charles and LynnMarie Desrochers of Revere, six grandchildren, and a beloved great-grandson. It was Rachel's wish for a private funeral service. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at a later date.
