  1. I am so very sorry to hear of Richards passing. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.

  2. My most sincere condolences, I had him for 5th grade at the Maplewood school, in the early 80’s. He was a great teacher and and even better person, The world will be at a loss with out him

  3. My Uncle Richard has always been such a close part of my life. As a little girl he taught me what the meaning of the word “family” is truly about. He made each one of his nieces and nephews feel so uniquely special and loved. As an adult he has continued to be a strong presence in my life. He cared so deeply about his family and his love has always been unconditional and selfless. I have learned much from him about strength, love, faith and selflessness. I love you, uncle Richard, my Godfather.

  4. What a wonderful man and teacher! He will be missed by all of us that entered his classroom. May he rest in peace.

  5. Dear Mary and John, So sorry to learn about Richard’s passing…Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the services…You are in my prayers….maureen

  6. To the Rodwell family: I am so sorry to learn of Richard’s passing. I was his home care nurse for a while and thoroughly enjoyed my visits with him. He had so many stories and was such a delightful character!
