Rita K. (Ryan) Harrington, 86, passed away on May 11, 2014 in Twin Oaks Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late James D. Harrington. Born in Revere on August 28, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Caroline (Alberty) Ryan. Rita was raised and educated in Revere and graduated from Revere High School. She was a long time resident of Danvers and a communicant of Saint Richard Parish. Rita had been employed at Dydax Catalog Co.in Rowley and the former Suburban Quality Co. in Danvers Square. She was also very active within the Democratic Party. She is survived by her four children; Susan Quigley and her husband Thomas of Ogunquit, ME, Lucinda Hutchinson of Danvers, Andrea Mamrose and her husband David of Moon Township, PA and Michael Harrington of East Wakefield, NH, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Richard Ryan, Claire Ryan and Bernice McLeavey. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in St. Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 3-6PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.

    So sorry to hear of the loss of your mother, grandmother and mother-in -law. From my remembrance of her when I new her years ago, she was a lovely and cheerful woman who loved spending time with her family. I’m sure you will miss her very much. Sorry I am so far away that I could not be at the funeral. My condolences to all of you.
