Rita Labrie

Rita V. (Gamache) LaBrie, 87, passed away on October 14, 2009, at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Armand LaBrie. Born in Danvers on November 12, 1921, she was the daughter of Augusta and Ernestine (Ouimette) Gamache. Rita was a lifelong resident of Danvers and was employed at Sylvania for many years. She loved playing Beano at St. Mary’s, dancing and traveling. She especially enjoyed Friday night dinners out with family and hosting Sunday dinners in her home where card games always followed and everyone was welcome. She is survived by her three daughters and a son-in-law, Marie and Ronald Cote of Georgetown, Terry Herlihy of Danvers and her companion Daniel Caskey and Cynthia LaBrie of Danvers and her companion Richard Parker, five grandchildren, Jade and Jesse Cote, Chantel LaBrie, Sgt First Class Shawn Herlihy and his wife Tanja and Jenelle Palladino and her husband Scott, five great grandchildren, Stephen, Derek, Shawn, Payton and Brett, three sisters, Jeanette Young of Danvers, Alice Bezuka of Danvers and Shirley Gill of Danvers. She was predeceased by siblings, Arthur “Buddy”, Francis, Pete and Raymond Gamache Doris LaChance and Marie “Winkie” St. Pierre. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 19, 2009 at 9AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St., Danvers. Vst. hrs are Sun. from 3-7PM at C.R.
