Robert B. Ring

Robert B. Ring, Sr., 87, of Middleton, passed away on June 10, 2024, following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Carol (Bouchard) Ring with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.
Born in Salem on November 27, 1936, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Marguerite (Hendricks) Ring. Robert was raised and educated in Salem and graduated from Salem High School. He began his career at Sylvania in Danvers. He went on to work for the United Shoe Machinery in Beverly and retired after 35 years of employment.
Robert was the personification of a family man. He revered in being involved in all his children’s, grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s activities. While a longtime Beverly resident, he had been a little league baseball coach. Robert loved all sports and enjoyed playing golf, horseshoes, bowling and was great at cribbage. For the past 20 years he had resided in Middleton.
In addition to his wife, Carol, he is survived by his four children Robert Ring, Jr. and his wife Shaunna of Amesbury, Robin Brophy and her husband, Mark of Middleton, Pamela Wendl of Centerville and John Ring and his wife Marlene of Middleton, his sister Judith Howland and her husband, Gene of Salem, and sister-in-law Janet Ring of Reading, eleven grandchildren, John and Michael Ring and Michelle Renda, Mark and Shawn Brophy, Andrew, Ryan and Kaitlyn Wendl and Kristina Cheston, Allie Bryant and Daniel Ring, great grandchildren, Ellie, Lucas, Giana, Charlotte, Robert, Bear, Ember and Oliver. He was predeceased by his brother Kenneth Ring Jr.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in Saint Agnes Church, 22 Boston St., Middleton. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 8:30AM-10:30AM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
