MARBLEHEAD- Robert I. Latham, 90, peacefully passed away on December 12, 2014, surrounded by his family in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was the husband of Patricia (Lydon) Latham with whom he shared 65 years of marriage. Born in Hartford, Connecticut on June 2, 1924, he was the son of the late Charles and Mildred (Simons) Latham. Robert was raised and educated in Marblehead and graduated from Marblehead High School. He was a graduate of Colby College. Robert served his country during WWII with the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. Robert sold real estate and insurance for many years in the North Shore area. He had been affiliated with Taché Real Estate in Salem and Kilgore Insurance in Peabody. Besides his wife, Patricia, he is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Gail Latham of Marblehead and Linda and Charles Riddell of Danvers and a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Alicia Latham of Salem, two sisters, Phyllis Ide of CT and Beverly Mitchell of Marblehead, five grandchildren, Lindsey and Bill Reichmann, Cara Riddell and Brian Cleary, Nicholas, Meghan and Zachary Latham and several nieces and nephews. Robert’s family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 4-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial is Wednesday in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead.
