Rose E. Stuczynski

Rozalia Ella “Rose” Stuczynski, nee Wardach, age 94, on Mothers' Day, May 11, 2014 of natural causes. Affectionately called Babci (grandmother in Polish) she was preceded in death by her husband Mieczyslaw (Mike) and daughter Freda. Remaining are her son Joseph Zenon Stuart, daughter Marysia Hayes, granddaughters Rebecca, Sarah Faye and MiKaela, grandson Michael and great grandson Hunter.
Born November 18, 1919 in Germany of Polish parents she was raised in Poland. Hard times were the norm. At the age of twenty the Nazis' invaded her country and she was sent to Germany as a laborer. In 1945 she married and a year later a son was born. Throughout the war years she was consumed by one desire; to come to America. In May, 1951 her dream was realized and three immigrants landed at Ellis Island, New York. Through the kindness of a sponsor the family settled in Danvers and additionally two daughters were born. Self-taught in English she spoke three languages, was a devout Catholic, and a long standing member of the Polish, Russian, Lithuanian American citizens club in Danversport. A lover of all things living she was a very kind and gentle person who will be greatly missed by her children.
Visiting hours will be Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 6-8:30PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. All other services are private.
