Ruth Marie (Lloyd) Breau, born on March 29, 1929, in Rumford, Maine, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the cherished daughter of Mary Ellen (Crawford) and James Lloyd.

Ruth spent her early years in Maine, attending public schools in Rumford. In 1961, she moved with her former husband, George, to Lynn, Massachusetts, where they raised their four children. A devoted stay-at-home mother for much of her life, Ruth later worked at Lydia Pinkham in Lynn before retiring. She found great joy in cooking, especially hosting Sunday dinners for her family, and caring for her beloved pets.

Ruth treasured her visits to Maine, spending summers at her camp on Worthy Pond, and attending the annual Lloyd family reunions. Family was the center of Ruth’s life, and she will be remembered for her loving spirit and unwavering dedication to those she cared about.

She is survived by her children: Linda O’Neill (Joseph) of Beverly, George Breau Jr. of Beverly, and Richard Breau (Jeanne) of Saugus; as well as her grandchildren: Michael O’Neill, Robert O’Neill, Jennifer O’Neill, Paul Reynolds Jr., Thomas Reynolds, Dorothy Reynolds, Jordan Breau, Korinne Breau, Anthony Breau, Ryan Johnson, and Jeremy LeBreton. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, who affectionately called her “Aunt Pop.” Ruth’s sister, Barbara Burns, of Rumford, Maine, also survives her.

Ruth was predeceased by her daughter, Irene Reynolds-Vienneau, her grandson, Richard Breau, and her siblings: Margaret, Luella, Ethel, Norman, Robert, Frederick, Bertha, Leonard, Dorothy, and William. She was also preceded in death by her former husband, George Breau.
Ruth’s family is especially grateful to her daughter Linda for the compassionate care she provided in Ruth’s later years, as well as to Karen Clark and Annette Pelletier from AFC of the North Shore and Care Dimensions for their love and support.

A celebration of Ruth’s life and funeral arrangements will be held at a later date. Ruth will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
