Seymour W. "Sy" Tice

DANVERS- Seymour W. "Sy" Tice, Jr, 89, passed away on November 29, 2023 at Hathorne Hill in Danvers. He was the husband of Joanne (Costanzo) Tice with whom he shared 27 years of marriage. Born in Portland, Maine on January 19, 1934, he was the son of the late Seymour and Evelyn (Gregor) Tice. Seymour was born and raised in Maine and graduated from Portland High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine, Orono. He served our country with the United States Army was honorably discharged. Seymour had been a partner in M.A. Olson Company, an equipment manufacturing company in Topsfield for many years. He enjoyed wintering in Naples, Florida with his wife Joanne. In addition to his wife, Joanne, he is survived by his daughter Susan Markham of Connecticut, and two stepdaughters and their spouses, Stephanie and Michael Lee of Groveland and Sharon Scanlon and David Vaida of N. Reading, his sister, Charlene Garnett of Maine and 6 grandchildren, Bob, Sydney, Sara, Jack, Olivia, and Brandon. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Bill Markham, his brother John Tice and brother-in-law, Hal Garnett. His Funeral service will be held at 11:30AM on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Visitation will be held Sunday morning, prior to the service from 10:30-11:30AM in the funeral home.
