SALEM- Sharon E. Kerr, 73, passed away peacefully in her home on April 28, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born in Beverly on February 3, 1943, the daughter of the late Charles C. and Ruth R. (Veinotte) Dame, Sr. She was raised and educated in Danvers, graduating from Holten High School in 1961. She had been employed for many years as a supervisor and client representative at Arklein Insurance in Peabody. She is survived by her son, Donald A. Kerr and his wife, Karen of SC and her daughter, Deborah L. Flanagan and her husband, Ted of ME, four siblings, Charles Dame and his wife, Peggy of Danvers, Donald Dame and his wife, Mary of CA, Robert Dame and his wife, Beth of NC and Dorothy North of CT, two grandchildren, Crystal J. Kerr and her husband Jason of Peabody and Thomas C. Fraser of RI as well as many nieces and nephews. Sharon will forever be remembered by her wit, tenacity, love of all things nature, impeccable penmanship, green thumb and poetic soul. Throughout her life, she influenced so many lives, inspiring each and every person she encountered. She cherished nothing more than spending time with family, friends and neighbors. Sharon will live on in our hearts forever. Her Funeral services were held privately, at Sharon’s request. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Sharon’s name to the Salem Senior Center, 5 Broad St., Salem, MA, 01970.
