Shirley M. (Madison) Braddy, 76, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 25, 2011 in Beverly Hospital. Born in Schenectady, NY on Sept. 17, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Gladys (Jones) Madison. She was raised and educated in New York and lived in Boxford for twenty-five years, where she raised her family. She made her home in Andover for several years before moving to Danvers seven months ago. Mrs. Braddy was employed until the time of her retirement as a hairdresser at Vincent’s Hair Salon in Danvers. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and her cat Missy. She was a devoted grandmother who enjoyed her grandsons’ Little League games. She is survived by two daughters, Holly Braddy and her fiancé Michael Geggatt of Amesbury and Joy Bernard and her husband Douglas of Danvers, two grandsons, Adam and Cody Bernard, and a brother, Robert Madison and his wife Carol of Schenectady and their family. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Braddy. Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 10AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will be pivate. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 5-8PM in the funeral home.
